Mechanism of action

The main active ingredients in the drug are mepregenol acetate and ethinyl estradiol. Mepregenol acetate blocks the production of gonadotropin-releasing hormone in the mediobasal zones of the hypothalamus, thereby preventing the secretion of follicle-stimulating and luteinizing pituitary hormones. Thus, the development of follicles in the ovaries, ovulation, and the secretion of estrogens are inhibited in females. The contraceptive effect is caused by the complex effect of mepregenol acetate and ethinyl estradiol due to changes in the biological properties of the vaginal environment, an increase in the viscosity of the cervical mucus, and a change in the state of the endometrium, which prevents the implantation of a fertilized ovum. The combined effect of ethinyl estradiol and meprenol acetate in males and females causes a calming effect, correcting unwanted behavior during sexual arousal. The presence of two active substances that enhance each other’s effect allowed to minimize the concentration of hormones in the drug, which makes its use effective and safe at the same time.

Composition

1 ml of the drug contains:

Mepregenol acetate, water-soluble - 1 mg
Ethinyl estradiol - 0.01 mg

Recommendations on storage and expiration date

Store the drug with caution in the manufacturer's packaging, in a place protected from direct rays, inaccessible to children and animals, separately from Foods and Feeds at a temperature of 0° C to 25° C. Expiration date: 3 years from the date of production.

Contradictions

It is forbidden to apply to animals under sex maturity.
